The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Giuseppe Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zebus FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giuseppe Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zebus FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Fernandes in the 45th minute of play forced Zebus FC's goalkeeper Oséias Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséias Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Túlio Peixoto in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Vítor Matorin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giuseppe Godoi went, in the 50th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Vítor Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Godoi in the 54th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Geraldo Gomes sped through Fenato futebol clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vítor Matorin. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zebus FC reached it. Vítor Matorin came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Zebus FC's Geraldo Gomes. But to his dismay, Geraldo Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After 93 minutes Fenato futebol clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luan Teles who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Zebus FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Geraldo Gomes hit a great ball. Zebus FC's Geraldo Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
