With an all-out effort, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Júlio Soares threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Natanael Bittencourt, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Nelson Cearense got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 24 minutes, Luiz Gustavo Sanches mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Breguete FC and the Ferreira Lopes MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Filipe Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Natanael Bittencourt made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Ferreira Lopes MZC defense, José Augusto Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filipe Cruz. The Ferreira Lopes MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filipe Cruz should have stopped the shot. Júlio Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Magalhães in the 63rd minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Natanael Bittencourt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Soares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Filipe Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto Santos in the 69th minute of play. Doni Sanches hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Breguete FC's Júlio Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natanael Bittencourt in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho Magalhães in the 89th minute of play forced Breguete FC's goalkeeper Júlio Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Nelson Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Soares. Breguete FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelson Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. When Ferreira Lopes MZC's Nelson Cearense in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
