Flores da Cunha - RS's Eriberto Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Mangueira in the 8th minute of play. When Edgar Tepedino fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flores da Cunha - RS's protests and gave Edgar Tepedino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Célio Mangueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luizão da Rocha's late challenge caught a Joinville Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luizão da Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Flores da Cunha - RS's Luizão da Rocha got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 20 minutes of play, Joinville Esporte Clube's Deivid Vaz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eriberto Abraão was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the game, Joinville Esporte Clube's Deivid Vaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eriberto Abraão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 26 played minutes, Joinville Esporte Clube's Célio Mangueira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eriberto Abraão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Joinville Esporte Clube reached it. Lucas Lago hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Gonçalo Catarinense made a precise shot to the right of Eriberto Abraão. Flores da Cunha - RS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When Gonçalo Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Joinville Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonçalo Catarinense couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Flores da Cunha - RS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Joinville Esporte Clube:s goal. In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Joinville Esporte Clube. Célio Mangueira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eriberto Abraão. 0-4. Eriberto Abraão came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville Esporte Clube's Deivid Vaz. But to his dismay, Deivid Vaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Flores da Cunha - RS! The Flores da Cunha - RS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Joinville Esporte Clube were winning 0-6.

The wind increased when Lucas Lago made the kick off in the second half. Eriberto Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Mangueira in the 51st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Arnaldo Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Tasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eriberto Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Joinville Esporte Clube's Eriberto Abraão threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Deivid Vaz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 78th minute Deivid Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Célio Mangueira in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eriberto Abraão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 94 minutes into the match, Flores da Cunha - RS's goal looked a bit too open when Célio Mangueira came free, but Eriberto Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Gonçalo Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Flores da Cunha - RS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Joinville Esporte Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
