Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) BLACK STAR FC's Evandro de Castro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Geraldo Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dinei Hermes. BLACK STAR FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geraldo Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in BLACK STAR FC's zone, Geraldo Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinei Hermes came out of the goal and Geraldo Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 10 played minutes Zebus FC got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Neiva. Geraldo Gomes took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dinei Hermes. Dinei Hermes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 19 played minutes, Zebus FC's Oswaldo Neiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dinei Hermes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zebus FC reached it. Geraldo Gomes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Dinei Hermes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Geraldo Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute, Evandro de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Geraldo Almeida dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dinei Hermes, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Sena in the 33rd minute of play forced Zebus FC's goalkeeper Sílvio Luís Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualter Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Geraldo Gomes scored 4-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dinei Hermes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 47 minutes into the match, BLACK STAR FC's goalkeeper Dinei Hermes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geraldo Almeida. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geraldo Gomes made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Zebus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Gomes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of BLACK STAR FC booed when Zebus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Evandro de Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BLACK STAR FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. BLACK STAR FC's Dinei Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Gomes in the 70th minute of play. Dinei Hermes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the game, Geraldo Furtado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Sílvio Luís Oliveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Zebus FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Geraldo Gomes hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Jairo Veiga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Luís Oliveira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Zebus FC booed when BLACK STAR FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisinho Paraibano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dinei Hermes. BLACK STAR FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Geraldo Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Dinei Hermes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zebus FC had won after a very even match.
