In the 14th match minute, Joinville Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Penha to maneuver through the defense. Célio Mangueira took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Nóbrega. Wilson Nóbrega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Fenato futebol clube booed when Joinville Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benê de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilson Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fernando Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Túlio Peixoto came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Fenato futebol clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Túlio Peixoto couldn't finish the play. Célio Mangueira scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Nóbrega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enéas Arantes scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Nóbrega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The wind increased when Pedro Augusto Dionísio made the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Joinville Esporte Clube's Donato Catarinense ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilson Nóbrega. Wilson Nóbrega yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. When Luís Fernando Pena fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joinville Esporte Clube's protests and gave Luís Fernando Pena a yellow card for diving instead. 70 minutes into the match, Fenato futebol clube's goalkeeper Wilson Nóbrega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Célio Mangueira. Wilson Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Célio Mangueira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilson Nóbrega. That made the score 1-6 in the 80 minute of play. Wilson Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Mangueira in the 86th minute of the match. Wilson Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Bebeto Leal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilson Nóbrega, 1-8. Joinville Esporte Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
