Wambalamba FC's attack was well implemented in the 28th minute, but when Dinei Goiano was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After 60 minutes, Aílton Berger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vasco FC and the Wambalamba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Chaves in the 64th minute of play forced Vasco FC's goalkeeper Wellington Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emerson Penha got free with João Pedro dos Santos in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vasco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Pedro dos Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gil Motta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. João Pedro dos Santos came out and tried to block the shot, but Gil Motta slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vasco FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
