A collision led to Merusca F&P - CIMZ getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ian Salles hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Luciano Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute Cristóvão Tepedino suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 24 minutes, Diogo Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Floresta Club U18 and the Merusca F&P - CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Floresta Club U18's Hudson de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Vidal in the 40th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
