Sebastião Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristóvão de Salles in the 17th minute. Rubinho Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pedro Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Jonas Abreu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Catarinense in the 24th minute of play forced Elite™- FC Galácticos's goalkeeper Sebastião Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Elite™- FC Galácticos's goalkeeper Sebastião Garcia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Nóbrega. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias Catarinense got free with Sebastião Garcia in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jerônimo Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastião Garcia having to make a save. After 45 played minutes Mathias Catarinense rounded Elite™- FC Galácticos's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerônimo Mendonça made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Cristóvão de Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Abutres 2003 FDP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Mathias Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elite™- FC Galácticos's Sebastião Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerônimo Mendonça in the 57th minute of play. Paulinho Koehler was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 70 minutes into the match. Nicolas Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gino Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Mathias Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastião Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Cristóvão de Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
