Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jerônimo Mendonça made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Teixeira came free, but Vito Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Túlio Hermes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubinho Vergílio having to make a save. Rubinho Vergílio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Túlio Hermes went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Vito Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Meirelles in the 15th minute of play. Rubinho Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Dias in the 16th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Abutres 2003 FDP:s goal. The goalkeeper, Vito Vidal, was totally fooled by Abutres 2003 FDP's Claudinei Ceresso, who 19 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE booed when Abutres 2003 FDP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubinho Vergílio came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Túlio Hermes. But to his dismay, Túlio Hermes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Paulo Meirelles during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Pernambucano got free with Vito Vidal in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulinho Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Luís Paulo Paiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rubinho Vergílio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Hermes in the 47th minute of play forced Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Rubinho Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Túlio Hermes made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Edinho Aparecido put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Rubinho Vergílio. Edinho Aparecido charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edinho Aparecido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 59 minutes into the match, Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Rubinho Vergílio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Túlio Hermes. Rubinho Vergílio made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Túlio Hermes sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute Túlio Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dorian Nunes hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the game, Abutres 2003 FDP's Murillo Bittencourt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vito Vidal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. After 90 played minutes Abutres 2003 FDP got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Pernambucano. After a defensive mix-up in Abutres 2003 FDP's zone, Fernandinho Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubinho Vergílio came out of the goal and Fernandinho Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tony Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
