An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Borges in the 22nd minute of play forced Litoral EC - CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo José Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovani Borges's late challenge caught a Litoral EC - CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geovani Borges helped the player get up and apologised. Geovani Borges hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Aírton Capixaba might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Medeiros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aírton Capixaba ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute Aírton Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 minutes of play, Litoral EC - CIMZ's Aírton Capixaba made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Medeiros was left in no man's land by his defense there! 47 minutes into the game, Elias Paulista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Litoral EC - CIMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Figueira SC FSCMZ the free kick. Elias Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The Figueira SC FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
