Cristóvão Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yuri Velloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Dráusio Oliveira made a huge save. A collision led to Izaltina FAD getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Oscar de Godoi hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Cláudio Ramalho fired a really elegant long shot, but Dráusio Oliveira threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 15 minutes into the game, José Paulo Recife was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Izaltina FAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xiboquinha FC the free kick. When André Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Xiboquinha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Meirelles couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, Rafael Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Izaltina FAD's José Paulo Recife got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute of the match Cláudio Ramalho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dráusio Oliveira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jaime Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Izaltina FAD got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Paranaense. Yuri Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Oliveira having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osmar Donato to make the kick off. After 56 minutes, Noel Cardoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xiboquinha FC and the Izaltina FAD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Noel Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Osmar Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Izaltina FAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osmar Donato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Yuri Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dráusio Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Velloso in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to Izaltina FAD getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Cristóvão Paranaense hit a great ball. In the 68th match minute, Xiboquinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Yuri Velloso made a precise shot to the right of Dráusio Oliveira. Izaltina FAD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0.
