In the 4th minute, Jackson Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Márcio Cardoso notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Brasilino's Humberto Xavier. Humberto Xavier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 14 minutes in the game Ediberto Martins did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Murilo Pena. César Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Humberto Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márcio Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Márcio Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Xavier. Brasilino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Márcio Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. João Vítor Berger hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Brasilino's goalkeeper Humberto Xavier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Márcio Cardoso. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brasilino fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! After 47 played minutes Brasilino got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Abreu. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 53 minutes, Carlos Eduardo Maranhense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brasilino and the ATHLETICO PRaiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Brasilino got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Maranhense. After recieving a nice pass, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Sílvio Pires tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Jackson Nascimento got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 63rd minute Jackson Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brasilino's goalkeeper Humberto Xavier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Márcio Cardoso made a precise shot to the right of Humberto Xavier. Brasilino's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Humberto Xavier came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by ATHLETICO PRaiano's Jackson Nascimento. But to his dismay, Jackson Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 79 minutes into the game, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Márcio Cardoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto Xavier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. In the 83rd minute, Jackson Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Humberto Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Pires in the 88th minute of play. Murilo Pena hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When Rodriguinho Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brasilino's protests and gave Rodriguinho Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ATHLETICO PRaiano fully deserved thier win.
