The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adalberto Donato got free with Haroldo de Sena in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zézinho Paraense's late challenge caught a Brasiliense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zézinho Paraense helped the player get up and apologised. Zézinho Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Brasiliense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Arruda came free, but Abel Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 10 played minutes Reko-Recko 03™ got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Rosa. In the 11th minute Amílton Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes of play Reko-Recko 03™'s Zézinho Paraense was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Brasiliense FC booed when Reko-Recko 03™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zézinho Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haroldo de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Lopez in the 21st minute of the match. Tostão Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Ortiz having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Brasiliense FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Reis. After 26 played minutes Reko-Recko 03™ got a freekick which was hit by Paulinho Chaves. Reko-Recko 03™'s Haroldo de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Lopez in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes Reko-Recko 03™'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adalberto Donato who took care of the corner kick. Brasiliense FC's Clemente Lopez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Haroldo de Sena in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Haroldo de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Lopez in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clemente Lopez in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haroldo de Sena saved Reko-Recko 03™ from getting behind. Haroldo de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Adalberto Donato could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Haroldo de Sena however easily saved by the left post. After 40th play minutes Clemente Lopez shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Haroldo de Sena and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Reis in the 44th minute of play forced Reko-Recko 03™'s goalkeeper Haroldo de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Reko-Recko 03™'s goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Lopez came free, but Haroldo de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Wilson Reis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Haroldo de Sena. That made the score 3-0 in the 47 minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adalberto Donato to strike the kick off in the second half. Haroldo de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílton Medeiros in the 66th minute of the match. After 71 minutes, Amílton Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brasiliense FC and the Reko-Recko 03™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amílton Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Reko-Recko 03™'s Haroldo de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Reis in the 76th minute of play. Luís Fernando Freitas hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brasiliense FC's zone, Gal Van stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Ortiz came out of the goal and Gal Van tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haroldo de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Donato, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the game, Brasiliense FC's Wilson Reis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Haroldo de Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 86th match minute, Brasiliense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wágner Tande to maneuver through the defense. Reko-Recko 03™'s Gal Van got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Eliézer Cerezo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Brasiliense FC had won after a very even match.
