Fernando Veloso was a little too slow when Hílton da Silveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-1. Leonel Donatello's late challenge caught a Brasilino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Donatello helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Paulo Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Frank Sennas short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Fernando Veloso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The wind increased when Aírton Nóbrega made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Aírton Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot.
