When Joaquim Gerber fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio RK75's protests and gave Joaquim Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Ulysses do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th match minute, Joinville City - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldinho do Vale to maneuver through the defense. After 11 played minutes Joinville City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Paulista. Osvaldinho do Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Bebeto Paranaense made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Grêmio RK75's goalkeeper Bebeto Paranaense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldinho do Vale. 29 minutes into the match, Angelo Guerra notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Joinville City - FSCMZ's Joaquim Amaral. Joaquim Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldinho do Vale got free with Bebeto Paranaense in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 34 played minutes Joinville City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Mesquita. The Joinville City - FSCMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grêmio RK75 were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Guerra to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Léo Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldinho do Vale scored 1-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bebeto Paranaense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thiago Catarinense's late challenge caught a Grêmio RK75's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thiago Catarinense helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Thiago Catarinense got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 67th minute Osvaldinho do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Léo Paranaense came free, but Joaquim Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bebeto Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Mesquita in the 80th minute of play. Kauã Terra charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kauã Terra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Joinville City - FSCMZ booed when Grêmio RK75 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute of the match Aníbal Paulista sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bebeto Paranaense skillfully saved the ball. Joaquim Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Guerra in the 90th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
