The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Claudinho Moura made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Acácio Ortiz sent off a good shot on target. After 7 played minutes AS Pikachuzim got a freekick which was hit by Gildo da Fonseca. 12 minutes into the game, AS Pikachuzim's Cristian Bittencourt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodriguinho de Queirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Claudinho Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Acácio Ortiz went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Cristian Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rodriguinho de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Imbituba - FSCMZ were awarded a corner. Diguinho Magalhães went to the cornerflag to take it. AS Pikachuzim's Dadá Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Acácio Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Claudinho Moura made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Acácio Ortiz in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinho Moura saved AS Pikachuzim from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristóvão Linares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, AS Pikachuzim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Lira to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the game, Gildo da Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
