Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Fumo Pedrais started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute Guilherme Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute, Guilherme Almeida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vila Zumbi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 6th minute, Glauco Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldo Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Lauro Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Cléber de Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lauro Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fumo Pedrais, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Glauco Paranaense hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Eliézer Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Glauco Paranaenses short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Abelardo Barreto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vila Zumbi's Abelardo Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís de Lara in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Fumo Pedrais came free, but Lauro Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 minutes, Caio Ramos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CE LAJEADENSE RS and the Vila Zumbi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Ramos to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Glauco Paranaense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abelardo Barreto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Marcinho das Neves got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 37 minutes, Fumo Pedrais made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luís de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Abelardo Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to CE LAJEADENSE RS getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Cléber de Souza hit a great ball. In the 50th minute the ball was on its way in behind CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Lauro Linhares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Glauco Paranaense made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Sandro Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauro Linhares made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Fumo Pedrais sent off a good shot on target. After 72 minutes of play, Vila Zumbi's Ronaldo Meirelles made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lauro Linhares was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Fumo Pedrais came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Vila Zumbi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fumo Pedrais couldn't finish the play. Lauro Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Lauro Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fumo Pedrais. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save CE LAJEADENSE RS from getting a goal against them. Abelardo Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Ramos in the 89th minute of the match. Fumo Pedrais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Linhares having to interfere. Vila Zumbi's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
