Spectators: 205 (Terracing: 154, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) Pragmáticos 1903's Gustavo Mazer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Douglas Gustavo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mauro de Salles came out and tried to block the shot, but Douglas Gustavo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dudu Queiroz got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson de Carvalho in the 11th minute of play forced Pragmáticos 1903's goalkeeper Arí Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Nova Iguaçu MZFC were awarded a corner. Dudu Queiroz went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Dudu Queiroz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arí Sarmento quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 14th minute Wilson Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arí Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauro de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Gustavo in the 17th minute of the match. Pragmáticos 1903's Arí Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Souza in the 19th minute of play. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were furious when Deivid Queirós was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 20 minutes into the game, one of Nova Iguaçu MZFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mauro de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Mazer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes, Douglas Gustavo made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mauro de Salles tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas Gustavo in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro de Salles saved Nova Iguaçu MZFC from getting behind. In the 31stth minute of the game Douglas Gustavo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mauro de Salles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arí Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson de Carvalho in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Luizão Marquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pragmáticos 1903's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Iguaçu MZFC the free kick. A collision led to Pragmáticos 1903 getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Luizão Marquez hit a great ball. After 39 minutes, Gustavo Mazer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pragmáticos 1903 and the Nova Iguaçu MZFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pragmáticos 1903's Gustavo Mazer got a free kick in the 39th minute. Arí Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jailson de Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Pragmáticos 1903 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Mazer to maneuver through the defense. Nova Iguaçu MZFC made a substitution. Cesinha Cruz replaced Vladimir Braga. In the 56th minute, Gustavo Mazer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jailson de Carvalho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arí Sarmento having to make a save. Paulo Renato Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Arí Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pragmáticos 1903's Telmo Palmeira was substituted for Gustavo Mazer. Arí Sarmento was a little too slow when Jailson de Carvalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 2-1. Thanks to some nice moves Jailson de Carvalho could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Arí Sarmento however easily saved by the left post. After some careless play in the Nova Iguaçu MZFC defense, Douglas Gustavo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro de Salles. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauro de Salles should have stopped the shot. When Telmo Palmeira fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pragmáticos 1903's protests and gave Telmo Palmeira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th match minute, Pragmáticos 1903 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mauro de Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jailson de Carvalho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Arí Sarmento skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 91st match minute, Pragmáticos 1903 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Berger to maneuver through the defense. Dudu Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pragmáticos 1903's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
