In the 24th minute Faustino Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Astigar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Lorenzo Distiratsu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Otsoko was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ariel Gonzales to make the kick off. The referee gave Laureano Quintana a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, C. S. D.
