German Uhin was slow to take the kick. During this time Independiente's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which German Uhin managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 20 minutes into the game, Marcial Juvenal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GALLARDETA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. In the 20th match minute, GALLARDETA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Juvenal to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes of play, Independiente's German Uhin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafino Precioso was left in no man's land by his defense there! German Uhin charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed German Uhin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. German Uhin kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute German Uhin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Precioso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafino Precioso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Berbiz in the 27th minute of play. Serafino Precioso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Txatxu in the 29th minute of the match. Serafino Precioso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Berbiz went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laureano Emeterio was the one to do the kick off. Justo Solustiano hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Serafino Precioso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Txatxu went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. The supporters of Independiente booed when GALLARDETA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Guzman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Independiente's Justo Solustiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafino Precioso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Serafino Precioso was a little too slow when Ciro Txatxu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-8. Serafino Precioso made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Ciro Txatxu sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justo Solustiano got free with Serafino Precioso in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Uhin in the 70th minute of play forced GALLARDETA's goalkeeper Serafino Precioso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, German Uhin took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Serafino Precioso to make any attempt to save it. Independiente's Ciro Txatxu got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serafino Precioso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Solustiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Uhin in the 82nd minute of play forced GALLARDETA's goalkeeper Serafino Precioso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justo Solustiano took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafino Precioso. Serafino Precioso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. Ciro Txatxu struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Serafino Precioso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. Serafino Precioso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Berbiz in the 88th minute of the match. With a little luck, GALLARDETA's Serafino Precioso got control of the ball when Justo Solustiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serafino Precioso made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Ciro Txatxu sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, Ciro Txatxu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafino Precioso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. In the 97th play minute Ciro Txatxu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Serafino Precioso. 0-13.
