The supporters of Atletico Saladillo FC booed when OLYMPIACOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Rumaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidio Oto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Argider in the 9th minute of play. Leonel Cesario's late challenge caught a OLYMPIACOS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Cesario helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Leonel Cesario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Atletico Saladillo FC's Leonel Cesario got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 15 played minutes OLYMPIACOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Chayo. After 17 minutes, Elpidio Brais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OLYMPIACOS FC and the Atletico Saladillo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Elpidio Brais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 played minutes OLYMPIACOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Andres Mateo. In the 26th minute, Cristian Alonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benedicto Argider came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ovidio Oto could save by the left post. After some careless play in the Atletico Saladillo FC defense, Bernabe Normando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonzalo Niguel. The Atletico Saladillo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonzalo Niguel should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute Santos Lazcano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Niguel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Benedicto Argider took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Ovidio Oto to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, OLYMPIACOS FC's Gaudencio Xabel got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Cristian Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Santos Lazcano made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Atletico Saladillo FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Prudencio Cordarrol hit a great ball. Florencio Jacob kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Jeronimo Loiola sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and OLYMPIACOS FC's Ovidio Oto didn't even have to move. Benedicto Argider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Oto having to interfere. Cristian Alonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ovidio Oto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Alonso in the 69th minute of play forced OLYMPIACOS FC's goalkeeper Ovidio Oto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atletico Saladillo FC's Cristian Alonso got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of OLYMPIACOS FC booed when Atletico Saladillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Alonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The OLYMPIACOS FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing OLYMPIACOS FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
