In the 6th minute Celedonio Prejun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerardo Arnau made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Santos Lazcano sent off a good shot on target. OLYMPIACOS FC's Bernabe Normando got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonio Mendebal kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, OLYMPIACOS FC's Bernabe Normando sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerardo Arnau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, OLYMPIACOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Policarpio came free, but Ovidio Oto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisito Txurio charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisito Txurio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Northern California was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Txurio to maneuver through the defense. Bernabe Normando who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Gerardo Arnau when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 22 played minutes OLYMPIACOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Andres Mateo. In the 23rd minute, Celedonio Prejun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidio Oto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, Celedonio Prejun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidio Oto. OLYMPIACOS FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celedonio Prejun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Celedonio Prejun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of OLYMPIACOS FC booed when Northern California was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Prejun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernabe Normando came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gerardo Arnau could save by the left post. In the 44th match minute, Northern California was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Policarpio to maneuver through the defense. If Bernabe Normando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Celedonio Prejun made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angel Teofilio during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of OLYMPIACOS FC booed when Northern California was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Teofilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Elpidio Brais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute Celedonio Prejun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Northern California's Ovidio Oto threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marco Policarpio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 62nd match minute, Northern California was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Prejun to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Northern California's Celedonio Prejun ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ovidio Oto. Ovidio Oto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Elpidio Brais hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, OLYMPIACOS FC's Elpidio Brais got a free kick in the 71st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angel Teofilio got free with Ovidio Oto in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Angel Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Marco Policarpio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ovidio Oto, 0-5. In the 88th minute Santos Lazcano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Arnau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidio Oto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Policarpio in the 93rd minute of play. Northern California's Angel Teofilio got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Northern California's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
