In the 9th match minute, BICHO neuquino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Raebert to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Lyons booed when BICHO neuquino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Chaime didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Guter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 13 minutes, Luciano Abel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BICHO neuquino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Abel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute, Clodoveo Llanos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Iruinea kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Lyons's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Raebert came free, but Victoriano Ferran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luciano Abel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilio Peru kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Victoriano Ferran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Miliano in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Gabino saved BICHO neuquino from getting behind. David Orti scored 2-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victoriano Ferran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lyons! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luciano Abel made a kick off. Lyons's Clodoveo Llanos got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narciso Guter who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Teodoro Gabino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Teodoro Gabino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Miliano in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Lyons's goal looked a bit too open when David Orti came free, but Victoriano Ferran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lyons's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
