Altos Gatos FC's Rosendo Millan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Iratxo in the 11th minute of play. Marco Elorri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Augusto Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Elorri in the 25th minute of play. When Edelmiro Pereyra came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Altos Gatos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Pereyra couldn't finish the play. If Oscar Bernaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Elorri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosme Pacorro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Edelmiro Pereyra hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Marco Elorri made a precise shot to the right of Augusto Gaitan. Ramiro Jerano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Rosendo Millan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 80 minutes, Ramiro Jerano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
