Blas Florinio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Desiderio Gaztea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maní FC were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Motu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcial Oliverios took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Marcial Oliverios got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eliseo Abeita quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marcial Oliverios took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eliseo Abeita. Motu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Motu's goalkeeper Eliseo Abeita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lorenzo Henrico. Maní FC's Desiderio Gaztea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Sendoa in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maní FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mario Cugat was slow to take the kick. During this time Motu's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Mario Cugat almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Maní FC's Desiderio Gaztea did a great save. Motu's Eliseo Abeita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Motu from getting a goal against them. Motu's Albino Sendoa got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Marcial Oliverios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Abeita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Sixto Paublo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Motu's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixto Paublo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Desiderio Gaztea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Maní FC defense, Blas Florinio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Desiderio Gaztea. The Maní FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Desiderio Gaztea should have stopped the shot. After having played for 38 minutes, Mario Cugat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Cugat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Oliverios in the 44th minute of play forced Motu's goalkeeper Eliseo Abeita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Motu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Dario Isaio scored to the left of an out of position Eliseo Abeita, making the score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albino Sendoa to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Blas Florinio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 61 minutes into the match, Maní FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Sendoa came free, but Desiderio Gaztea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Ursino charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Ursino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd minute, Marco Ursino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Abeita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Henrico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Motu's Desiderio Gaztea threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Blas Florinio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 73 played minutes Motu got a freekick which was hit by Mario Cugat. Eliseo Abeita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Oriol in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Honorio Oriol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Abeita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Motu getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jacob Eduino hit a great ball. Lorenzo Henrico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseo Abeita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Oliverios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
