The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amado Osmundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Caradaro in the 4th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Luisito Caradaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VERΛ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After some careless play in the Baraja Española FC defense, Paulo Gonzalez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amado Osmundo. The Baraja Española FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amado Osmundo should have stopped the shot. Amado Osmundo made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Lorenzo Louis sent off a good shot on target. Camilo Theodore hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Delmar Bartoleme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Theodore in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Hegoi in the 31st minute of play forced Baraja Española FC's goalkeeper Amado Osmundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Matos to make the kick off. Baraja Española FC's Amado Osmundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Gonzalez in the 55th minute of play. Amado Osmundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Gonzalez, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The supporters of Baraja Española FC booed when VERΛ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Ferdinand didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Delmar Bartoleme managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Baraja Española FC's Baltasar Edorta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 71 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Louis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amado Osmundo. Lorenzo Louis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Amado Osmundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Baraja Española FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VERΛ.
