Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Ricardo-Enrique Bochini started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Claudio Gagriel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 10 minutes into the match, Black Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Porfiro came free, but Camilo Mondragón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Jacobo Porfiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Mondragón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Amadeo Gerazan fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Black Devils's protests and gave Amadeo Gerazan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Black Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Gerazan to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th match minute, Estudiantes de La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Eguzki to maneuver through the defense. Camilo Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Formerio in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Black Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Orti to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Amadeo Gerazan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes, Estudiantes de La Plata's Christian Dominguez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camilo Mondragón came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Estudiantes de La Plata reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Camilo Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Porfiro in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Black Devils getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Abel Jerico hit a great ball. After 74 played minutes Estudiantes de La Plata got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Ourente. Jacobo Porfiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Camilo Mondragón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Estudiantes de La Plata failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
