Nicolas Ihazintu charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nemesio Sazon was the one to do the kick off. Benedicto Beremundo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 95 minutes into the match, Depor Alex Return's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Sazon came free, but Benedicto Beremundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Club Dep. Union Madereros players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
