El Imperio del Cuervo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defensores de Mar de Ajó the free kick. In the 2nd minute, Urbano Aimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the El Imperio del Cuervo defense, Julio Peru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Cefero. The El Imperio del Cuervo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Cefero should have stopped the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Zacarias Ignado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Cefero. El Imperio del Cuervo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zacarias Ignado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 13 minutes into the game, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Mauricio Mel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Cefero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. El Imperio del Cuervo were furious when Domingo Quilino was red carded, 15 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. If Mauricio Mel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match, Jonatan Ferran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Cefero. El Imperio del Cuervo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonatan Ferran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Joel Cefero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Peru in the 22nd minute of the match. Joel Cefero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Peru in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Julio Peru notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of El Imperio del Cuervo's Joel Cefero. Joel Cefero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joel Cefero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Ferran in the 29th minute of the match. Joel Cefero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Mel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Cefero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Ignado in the 31st minute of play. Carolo Txilar took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Cefero. Joel Cefero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Julio Peru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Joel Cefero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Cefero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Ignado, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

In the 58th minute Julio Peru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Cefero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Cefero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Peru in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to El Imperio del Cuervo getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. After 76 played minutes Defensores de Mar de Ajó got a freekick which was hit by Carolo Txilar. El Imperio del Cuervo's Joel Cefero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save El Imperio del Cuervo from getting a goal against them. A collision led to El Imperio del Cuervo getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Vicente Bernebe hit a great ball. Zacarias Ignado had several of the El Imperio del Cuervo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 82 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-11 score and a disappointed Joel Cefero as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 86 played minutes El Imperio del Cuervo got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Aimar. With a little luck, El Imperio del Cuervo's Joel Cefero got control of the ball when Jonatan Ferran tried to sneak it across the goal line. El Imperio del Cuervo's Joel Cefero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Mel in the 90th minute of play. Joel Cefero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Ferran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd play minute Mauricio Mel came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joel Cefero. 0-12. After 96th play minutes Zacarias Ignado shot 0-13, a short shot which went by Joel Cefero and just under the crossbar into goal. The El Imperio del Cuervo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Defensores de Mar de Ajó were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
