Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Primitivo Galindo took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Amancio Magdaleno dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maximo Harriet, 1-0. Danilo Frascuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Pobersnik in the 12th minute of play. Maximo Harriet made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Artemio Goiz sent off a good shot on target. Mario Uhin's late challenge caught a lןןl BANFIELD FC Lascano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mario Uhin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Uhin to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, Erasmo Fernendo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave lןןl BANFIELD FC Lascano the free kick. Erasmo Fernendo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Erasmo Fernendo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NEWELL´S OLD BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Primitivo Galindo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, lןןl BANFIELD FC Lascano's Mariano Eguen got a free kick in the 30th minute. Rene Bernabel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximo Harriet was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Artemio Goiz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 34 minute of play. After 38 played minutes lןןl BANFIELD FC Lascano got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Fernendo. Amancio Magdaleno might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximo Harriet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amancio Magdaleno ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, lןןl BANFIELD FC Lascano's Mario Pobersnik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danilo Frascuelo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Amancio Magdaleno made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Artemio Goiz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NEWELL´S OLD BOYS and the lןןl BANFIELD FC Lascano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Goiz to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the game, Amancio Magdaleno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Maximo Harriet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arturo Balendin took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximo Harriet. Maximo Harriet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Mario Uhin kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, lןןl BANFIELD FC Lascano's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Fernendo came free, but Maximo Harriet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximo Harriet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Fernendo in the 81st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Balendin during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Arturo Balendin got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Alberto Avellaneda kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Amancio Magdaleno kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Maximo Harriet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Goiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of lןןl BANFIELD FC Lascano for a fine match.
