Spectators: 146 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) Academia 1903's Anacleto Abaurre started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The chacarita juniors fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when chacarita juniors's Placido Tancredo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Placido Tancredo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimiro Osasun having to make a save. Placido Tancredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the match, chacarita juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Patrido came free, but Rene Goren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 minutes, Astor Galeno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia 1903 and the chacarita juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Academia 1903 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Galeno to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute Santos Incendio managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. If Juan Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Placido Tancredo made a kick off. Placido Tancredo scored 4-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladimiro Osasun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 58 minutes of play, chacarita juniors's Americo Gipuzkoa made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimiro Osasun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vladimiro Osasun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Bermudez in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Alfonso Patrido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia 1903's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave chacarita juniors the free kick. In the 63rd match minute, Academia 1903 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Patrido to maneuver through the defense. Americo Gipuzkoa might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimiro Osasun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Americo Gipuzkoa ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of chacarita juniors booed when Academia 1903 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Nalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Astor Galeno kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Academia 1903's Vladimiro Osasun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Tancredo in the 82nd minute of play. Rene Goren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anacleto Abaurre in the 88th minute of the match. Academia 1903's Vladimiro Osasun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Tancredo in the 92nd minute of play. After 94 played minutes Academia 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Astor Galeno. When the referee ended the match the chacarita juniors players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
