With a little luck, C A U's Benito Lauro got control of the ball when Silvano Paul tried to sneak it across the goal line. C A U's Benito Lauro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save C A U from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, C A U's Fulgencio Raitin got a free kick in the 6th minute. Benito Lauro made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Celso Gotzon sent off a good shot on target. Fulgencio Raitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Filomeno Pierres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filiberto Ermano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Benito Lauro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Placido Rozarius's late challenge caught a Clemen Team AFC★C.A.B.J★'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Placido Rozarius helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Placido Rozarius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in C A U's zone, Carmelo Erroman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Lauro came out of the goal and Carmelo Erroman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Gotzon in the 26th minute of play forced C A U's goalkeeper Benito Lauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Fulgencio Raitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Pierres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Lauro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Gotzon's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Mariano Damario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Lauro having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Celso Gotzon took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Benito Lauro to make any attempt to save it. Benito Lauro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Paul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C A U's Luciano Santiago was substituted for Placido Rozarius. After 47 played minutes C A U got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Raitin. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Placido Mundo to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filiberto Ermano in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Lauro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute, Silvano Paul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, C A U's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Paul came free, but Benito Lauro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C A U's Benito Lauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Gotzon in the 59th minute of play. Benito Lauro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filiberto Ermano's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute.
