Meti Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bartolo Paz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Aquiles Medina hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Oscar Constancio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godofredo Txema in the 22nd minute. The Real Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Constancio should have stopped the shot. When German Iraido came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Real Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that German Iraido couldn't finish the play. Meti Gol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Paz having to interfere. Real Racing Club's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
