Inocencio Matai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Benigno Manilan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mercado Paulista F.C booed when Sarmiento de Resistencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Benigno Manilan got control of the ball when Armando Rosalio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Romeo Berdaitz got a free kick in the 14th minute. Bishen Top hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Romeo Berdaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Rodolfo Mambru charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Mambru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Mercado Paulista F.C. Fabricio Tohias stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benigno Manilan. 6-1. Albino Asteri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Manilan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Rosalio in the 89th minute of play forced Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Benigno Manilan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Manilan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Shantala, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 93 minutes, Romeo Berdaitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarmiento de Resistencia and the Mercado Paulista F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabricio Tohias took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benigno Manilan. Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Benigno Manilan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Shantala's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute Armando Rosalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Manilan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mercado Paulista F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
