Quilmes's Hermengildo Elorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Quintan in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Enetz to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atilano Quintan in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermengildo Elorri saved Quilmes from getting behind. Gaspar Emmanuel hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Silvio Enetz charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvio Enetz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Silvio Enetz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Silvio Enetz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 32 minutes had been played. In the 32nd match minute, Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Enetz to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute Cipriano Vitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Elorri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atilano Quintan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Hermengildo Elorri skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Quilmes's Hermengildo Elorri got control of the ball when Atilano Quintan tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cipriano Vitin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Quilmes booed when Los Liquisue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Atauri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Los Liquisue FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Emmanuel to maneuver through the defense. Cipriano Vitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Hermengildo Elorri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Los Liquisue FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gaspar Emmanuel hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Paz. Atilano Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Quilmes defense, Gaspar Emmanuel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermengildo Elorri. The Quilmes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermengildo Elorri should have stopped the shot. In the 89thth minute of the game Atilano Quintan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quilmes's Hermengildo Elorri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Los Liquisue FC's Atilano Quintan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermengildo Elorri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Gaspar Emmanuel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Liquisue FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quilmes the free kick. Los Liquisue FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Quilmes had controlled the match.
