Melquiades Paz started the match with the kick off. AC LeX Luthor's Gualterio Quilino got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hermengildo Elorri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Tonio, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Silvio Enetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Hitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Melquiades Paz made a precise shot to the right of Albino Hitz. AC LeX Luthor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Gaudencio Clis fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC LeX Luthor's protests and gave Gaudencio Clis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, AC LeX Luthor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Clis to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Paz came free, but Albino Hitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AC LeX Luthor were furious when Angelo Lugo was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 40th minute of the match Atilano Donio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermengildo Elorri skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Paz in the 47th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Albino Hitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Rodrigo Paublo made the kick off in the second half. Gualterio Quilino kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Quilmes's David Peli broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Quilmes's Silvio Enetz got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Rodrigo Paublo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermengildo Elorri was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of Quilmes booed when AC LeX Luthor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Clis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee showed Gervasio Soter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
