In the 12th minute, Gregorio Gorka made a precise shot to the right of Hermengildo Elorri. Quilmes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Camilo Garcia's late challenge caught a Quilmes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Paunero's Camilo Garcia got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 26 played minutes Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Errapel. Jonathan Errapel kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Alfredo Harri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodoro Nerio made a kick off. Hernan Oroitz charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
