Fortinducto's Tomás Montel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Fortinducto from getting a goal against them. Augusto Gizon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomás Montel having to make a save. Tomás Montel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Gizon, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Adan Hustaz fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Potrero's protests and gave Adan Hustaz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C. A. Potrero getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Adan Hustaz hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnoldo Pirro was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Severino Burutzagi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Potrero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fortinducto the free kick. In the 56th minute of the match Silvano Dalmu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pablo Acevedo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 59thth minute of the game Adan Hustaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fortinducto's Tomás Montel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Isidoro Birjaio hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Bernardo Maule sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 66 minutes into the game, C. A. Potrero's Adan Hustaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Montel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Tomás Montel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adan Hustaz in the 73rd minute of the match. Tomás Montel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Hustaz in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Lop in the 79th minute of play forced Fortinducto's goalkeeper Tomás Montel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Adan Hustaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Montel was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After 88 played minutes Fortinducto got a freekick which was hit by Diego Munio. Many of Fortinducto's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Fortinducto may have spent more time on the ball, but C. A. Potrero were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
