Constantino Modestio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Congo Bongo's Baltasar Maria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Oxel in the 9th minute of play. Constantino Modestio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Telo in the 10th minute of play. Faustino Frederico hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The supporters of 0 descensos booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Belmiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Oxel scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baltasar Maria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Amadeo Belmiro's late challenge caught a 0 descensos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeo Belmiro helped the player get up and apologised. Baltasar Maria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Estevez in the 28th minute. Baltasar Maria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Oxel in the 81st minute of the match. Constantino Modestio made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Roberto Telo sent off a good shot on target. After 95 minutes, Ramiro Blai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Congo Bongo and the 0 descensos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Congo Bongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Blai to maneuver through the defense. The Congo Bongo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
