Constantino Modestio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Medardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A collision led to 0 descensos getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Rosendo Benitez hit a great ball. Celedonio Iraitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Estevez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacobo Oxel made a kick off. After 87 played minutes Black Rose 1979 got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Dalmu. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
