When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Cristo Piorno sped through El Retorno de Palermo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amancio Urtats. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristo Piorno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amancio Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Colon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Silverio Colon, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 62 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Amancio Urtats was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Cristo Piorno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Amancio Urtats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Colon came free, but Amancio Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Claudio Echeverri notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of El Retorno de Palermo's Amancio Urtats. Amancio Urtats was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Invisible's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
