In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Luganeros AFC's goalkeeper Alejo Gaspard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Luganeros AFC booed when Campeones del Mundo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Gorbea didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sixto Oier was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sixto Oier in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alejo Gaspard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sixto Oier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luganeros AFC's Gustavo Feliu was substituted for Damaso Rencio. Ladislao Fraco's late challenge caught a Luganeros AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladislao Fraco helped the player get up and apologised. Ladislao Fraco hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Campeones del Mundo's Daniel Igon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Sendoa in the 79th minute of play.
