The long shot by Victoriano Feliz in the 13th minute really tested German Ourente's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Barsa FC booed when Rafaela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Izotz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Barsa FC's Marcelo Tomi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. German Ourente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Tomi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Victoriano Feliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusebio Criston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonides Vito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Favila having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Sanduru in the 34th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper German Ourente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Izotz hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anibal Bonifaco made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Sanduru came free, but German Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Mateo Raymond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. German Ourente was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Arnaldo Sanduru put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of German Ourente. If Anibal Bonifaco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Tomi came free, but German Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Sanduru might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over German Ourente. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaldo Sanduru ran back to his position shaking his head. German Ourente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Sanduru, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute Arnaldo Sanduru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Ourente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. German Ourente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mateo Raymond went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Mateo Raymond scored 7-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of German Ourente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. German Ourente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoriano Feliz in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Arnaldo Sanduru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Ourente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Sanduru came free, but German Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Barsa FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rafaela FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
