Victor Nofre charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Amancio Godoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Oso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 91st minute, Victor Nofre sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vélez Juniors's Constantino Manny didn't even have to move. In the 96th minute, Guaberto Maraman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deportivo Tachito had played much better football throughout.
