Luciano Millan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Esteve Pello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Gregory's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteve Pello was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Narciso Pudes hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 10 played minutes Desfachatados F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Honesto. Justino Eron struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Esteve Pello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pilar FC. Pilar FC's Silvio Cordairo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Cambranes in the 22nd minute of play. When Pilar FC's Luciano Millan in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. One of Pilar FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Desfachatados F.C.:s goal. When the match had been going on for 35 minutes, Desfachatados F.C.'s Narciso Pudes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Silvio Cordairo. Justino Eron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esteve Pello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. If Justino Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desfachatados F.C.'s Esteve Pello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Gregory in the 44th minute of play. When Anacleto Honesto fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Desfachatados F.C.'s protests and gave Anacleto Honesto a yellow card for diving instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamin Cambranes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Desfachatados F.C.'s Narciso Pudes suffered a concussion after 66 minutes and had to leave the field. 66 minutes into the game, Elias Bittor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pilar FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Desfachatados F.C. the free kick. Desfachatados F.C.'s Javier Piearres was substituted for Melquiades Ritchie. The supporters of Desfachatados F.C. booed when Pilar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Bittor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Pudes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Esteve Pello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Millan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvio Cordairo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Cambranes in the 81st minute of the match.
