In the 35th minute Javier Markel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Segundo Domeka got a free kick in the 35th minute. Teodosio Elequemedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Rolando Erasto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benigno Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Bautista in the 44th minute of the match. Cleto Saturnin hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matias Eguerdi made a kick off. Benigno Abreu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Diego Banegas. Cleto Saturnin kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Bautista came free, but Benigno Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Benigno Abreu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka from getting a goal against them. When Cleto Saturnin fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
