In the 3rd play minute Melchor Arias came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marcos Fraco. 1-0. Prudencio Ostargi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cremonese booed when Arrecifes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Geofredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmar George made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Melchor Arias immediately put the ball in play. Apolo Ted showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Modesto Mikolas, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Modesto Mikolas came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Arrecifes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Mikolas couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Modesto Mikolas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apolo Ted. Cremonese's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Modesto Mikolas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 41 played minutes Marcelino Sayvion rounded Arrecifes's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Mikolas in the 44th minute of play forced Cremonese's goalkeeper Apolo Ted to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arrecifes's Marcos Fraco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Arrecifes from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Modesto Mikolas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Ted having to interfere. Marcos Fraco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Sayvion in the 54th minute of the match. A hard shot 56 in the game by Modesto Mikolas from a close distance when the talented Apolo Ted managed to make a qualified save. Cremonese's players were relieved. Melchor Arias took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Fraco. Marcos Fraco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Arrecifes made a substitution. Carlos Rufio replaced Camilo Perez. Marcos Fraco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melchor Arias in the 67th minute of the match. Marcos Fraco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Sayvion, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Apolo Ted made an important save on a dangerous shot by Modesto Mikolas in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Alejandro Fonda got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Melchor Arias made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Fraco. Arrecifes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. 81 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Arias came free, but Marcos Fraco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Felipillo charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Felipillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Arrecifes got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Felipillo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Sayvion in the 83rd minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Marcos Fraco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Modesto Mikolas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apolo Ted read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Leonel Felipillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Ted having to interfere. Apolo Ted stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejandro Fonda's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Mikolas in the 93rd minute of play forced Cremonese's goalkeeper Apolo Ted to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arrecifes's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
