Antonio Grossman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glorioso Deportivo Cali. If Hoyt Dove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Natal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micah LeBatelier, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Danial Edmondson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jagiellonia Denver's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glorioso Deportivo Cali the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Jagiellonia Denver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danial Edmondson to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Natal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesario Urtaza to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Denver's goal looked a bit too open when Cesario Urtaza came free, but Antonio Grossman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edwardo Esoin took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Grossman. Jagiellonia Denver's Antonio Grossman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesario Urtaza in the 69th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Denver's goal looked a bit too open when Cesario Urtaza came free, but Antonio Grossman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilbert Pena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcelo Natal came out and tried to block the shot, but Gilbert Pena slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 84th minute. When Luzaide Busta fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glorioso Deportivo Cali's protests and gave Luzaide Busta a yellow card for diving instead. Hoyt Dove kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Antonio Grossman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesario Urtaza went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score.
