Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bruno Sologuren started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Criciúma Esporte Clube booed when Cobresal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Hugo Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cobresal's Florinio Manzor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garcia Ompanera in the 4th minute of play. Florinio Manzor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rami Arecha, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Xabier Briz kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cobresal's Marciano Zuburu got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 17 played minutes Cobresal got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Zuburu. Berdaitz Osorio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Florinio Manzor. Cobresal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Criciúma Esporte Clube fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Criciúma Esporte Clube's Ciro Torrascasana looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Criciúma Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Rami Arecha hit a great ball. Cobresal's Delmiro Manghy shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 32nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Waldir Ochagavia but with some difficulty. 37 minutes into the match, Cobresal's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Torrascasana came free, but Florinio Manzor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berdaitz Osorio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Armando Iturburu kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Waldir Ochagavia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Delmiro Manghy. When Armando Iturburu fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Criciúma Esporte Clube's protests and gave Armando Iturburu a yellow card for diving instead. Armando Iturburu kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tinguaro Almoraza during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Criciúma Esporte Clube booed when Cobresal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tinguaro Almoraza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Criciúma Esporte Clube were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The long shot by Berdaitz Osorio in the 55th minute really tested Florinio Manzor's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Garcia Ompanera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Berdaitz Osorio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florinio Manzor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Garcia Ompanera hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 79th match minute, Criciúma Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rami Arecha to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Sologuren took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waldir Ochagavia. Waldir Ochagavia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 84 minutes in the game, Garcia Ompanera fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Florinio Manzor having to interfere. Florinio Manzor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berdaitz Osorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Marciano Zuburu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 88 played minutes, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Rami Arecha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Florinio Manzor came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Criciúma Esporte Clube reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciro Torrascasana kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Florinio Manzor. That made the score 1-3 in the 90 minute of play.
