A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Xove Bernedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Cuevas. New Whiteland FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xove Bernedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of Montevideo City Torque booed when New Whiteland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quincy Burks didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in New Whiteland FC's zone, Saul Sanabria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Cuevas came out of the goal and Saul Sanabria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xove Bernedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Xove Bernedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Montevideo City Torque booed when New Whiteland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blaine Longoria didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evis Castañondo in the 26th minute of play forced New Whiteland FC's goalkeeper Peter Cuevas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 minutes of play, Montevideo City Torque's Xove Bernedo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Cuevas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the game, Santiago Summers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Whiteland FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montevideo City Torque the free kick. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for New Whiteland FC! Matías Longo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Ederono Agosto charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ederono Agosto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Montevideo City Torque's Ederono Agosto got a free kick in the 39th minute. Quincy Burks hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Quincy Burks made a kick off. After 55 minutes of play, Montevideo City Torque's Evis Castañondo made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Cuevas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zenaido Urtiaran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Marshall in the 59th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, New Whiteland FC's goalkeeper Peter Cuevas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evis Castañondo. The audience was convinced that Blaine Longoria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zenaido Urtiaran was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Evis Castañondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matías Longo got free with Peter Cuevas in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zenaido Urtiaran came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by New Whiteland FC's Quincy Burks. But to his dismay, Quincy Burks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. 79 minutes into the match, Evis Castañondo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Peter Cuevas, 1-5. Peter Cuevas made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Evis Castañondo sent off a good shot on target. Matías Longo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Peter Cuevas made a huge save. In the 91st minute, Evis Castañondo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montevideo City Torque fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Jerold Santalla hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When Lee Whitney fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Whiteland FC's protests and gave Lee Whitney a yellow card for diving instead. After 99 played minutes New Whiteland FC got a freekick which was hit by Lee Whitney. Montevideo City Torque's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
